One of the many highlights of the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibition at The Reagan Library on July 17, 2012, had to be this exquisite 'flame dress' worn by Glenn Close as the iconic Disney villain 'Cruella de Vil' in 102 Dalmatians.

Anthony Powell designed this magnificent garment for the 2000 live-action sequel and there's no denying its a show-stopping piece.

102 Dalmatians movie posterThese are the kinds of costumes I love seeing up close, wonderfully detailed, intricate and flamboyant masterpieces. With the right hair and makeup this would make for a killer Halloween costume, although who am I kidding, even without a wig it would look fabulous.
